This policy explains what personal data footbet.africa (the “Site”) processes, why, and how to exercise your rights, under Law No. 2014-038 of 9 January 2015 on the protection of personal data.

What we do not collect

The Site has no user accounts, forms, newsletter or payments. We never ask for your name, phone, address or ID, and we sell no data.

Data processed

  • Audience measurement (Google Analytics 4) — only if you accept: pages viewed, clicks (including to operators), device and browser type, approximate country and city, traffic source, a pseudonymous ID stored in the _ga cookies. Without your consent no measurement cookie is set; Google may receive cookieless signals without an identifier (Google consent mode).
  • Technical logs (Cloudflare and host): IP address, date and time, page requested, browser. Needed to deliver and secure the Site and fight abuse.
  • Your browser’s local storage (localStorage): your cookie choice and display preferences. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Measuring traffic to improve the Site: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (“Manage cookies” at the bottom of each page).
  • Delivering and protecting the Site (technical logs): the Publisher’s legitimate interest in providing a secure service.
  • Remembering your choices: necessary for the service you request.

Retention

  • Google Analytics data: 14 months at most (property retention setting: 2 or 14 months). _ga cookies: 13 months at most.
  • Technical logs: short periods set by Cloudflare and the host, typically days to a few weeks.
  • Cookie choice: until you change it or clear your browser data.

Recipients and transfers outside Madagascar

Data is processed by providers outside Madagascar: Google LLC (USA) for audience measurement, Cloudflare, Inc. (global network, headquartered in the USA) for delivery, and Hostinger International Limited (Cyprus), whose server is in India. Under article 20 of Law No. 2014-038, these transfers rely on the providers’ contractual safeguards and, for audience measurement, on your consent.

Your rights

Law No. 2014-038 gives you in particular:

  • the right to be informed (art. 27);
  • the right of access, free of charge, with a copy on request (art. 23);
  • the right to rectification, updating and erasure (art. 25);
  • the right to object on legitimate grounds (art. 22);
  • the right to withdraw consent to audience measurement at any time via “Manage cookies”.

Exercising your rights, complaints

Write to [email protected]. Since we do not know who you are, include if possible your browser’s GA identifier (value of the _ga cookie) so we can find the data concerning you. We reply within one month.

You may also complain to the Commission Malagasy de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CMIL), Madagascar’s data protection authority.

Security

The Site is served over HTTPS only, behind Cloudflare, with strict security headers. No personal data is stored in a database of the Site’s own.

Minors

The Site is not intended for minors and does not knowingly collect their data.

This policy may change; the update date is shown at the top of the page.
