A blow for Patrick Vieira. Moussa Niakhaté, Senegal's new captain, left the Marseille gathering after undergoing an MRI this Thursday morning. The defender, injured, is ruled out for the friendly match against Comoros.
The Lions' medical staff decided to take no risks. Niakhaté will return to his club to continue his rehabilitation. The coaching staff will have to find a solution to compensate for his absence, as he was expected to anchor the central defense.
Vieira will have to make do with a reshuffled squad for this encounter at the Vélodrome, the final rehearsal before the official fixtures in November.
