The Barea took the lead and held their own against the Super Eagles. In the second half, the Nigerian coach brought on two rookies: Ilenikhena and Usor.
The two debutants turned the match around. Ilenikhena equalized, then Usor gave his side the win (2-1). A precious success to kick off the qualifiers.
Madagascar leave with regrets but show that they will be a force to be reckoned with in this group.
