Harry Kane was voted the best player in the world at the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony held in London. He ends England's 25-year wait.
The last English player to win the trophy was Michael Owen in 2001. Kane succeeds Brazil's Vinicius Jr, the 2025 winner.
The Bayern Munich striker had an exceptional season, scoring 45 goals in all competitions. He also shone with the England national team during Euro 2026.
Kane finished ahead of Norway's Erling Haaland and Argentina's Lionel Messi in the final standings. He joins the very exclusive club of English strikers crowned Ballon d'Or.
